Carnival in Venice looks back upon a long-standing tradition. Both locals and tourists are fascinated alike by the sumptuous fancy-dress parties in the palaces and the typical Venetian masks and pompous costumes in the streets, on the bridges and channels of this impressive city with its lagoons. The special charm of this carnival against the Campanile of the Markus dome and the Canale Grande in the background is depicted in this motif in a splendid and impressive way.
